Four more days, Secular FAM, and we’ll know the conscience of America. I was talking to some forged family members recently, and we talked about how traumatized we feel every two years. 

I’ve paid attention to local politics since moving here in 1991, and I’ve been working on direct democracy endeavors in Arizona for nearly 20 years. 

Every two years, I allow myself to feel hope that our schools will be fully funded, that our leaders will promote commonsense tax policies that help everyone and not just the wealthy, that social programs will expand to help our most vulnerable citizens survive and thrive, and every two years, I’m crestfallen. 

By all accounts, we should all be hopeful that many of the Christian nationalists running for office will be defeated next Tuesday, but that doesn’t mean we take our foot off the gas. Also, we must all be prepared for extreme measures, win or lose.

On Monday, the House Judiciary Committee released a report about the president’s involvement with Jeffrey Epstein. They assert that the Pedo-in-chief was very good friends with Epstien, and that he (and other billionaires) are alleged to have raped multiple women in the 90s. Additionally, his pageant system seems to have been created to facilitate the sex-trafficking of countless numbers of women. 

The QAnon folks were right! However, instead of a pizza place, it was an intricate international billionaire network of ranches, mansions, and private islands, created for the sole purpose of raping and torturing women and children. 

Sexual assault is a feature, not a bug, of Putin’s Poodle and his groupies, and I now firmly believe that so many people support him because he is a sexual predator; they know that Twitler’s vision for America is that abusers never face consequences for their actions. Just look at how many of the J6ers have been convicted of domestic and sexual violence. 

Damn near every time a pedophile is revealed, their social media channels are filled with misinformation and pedo worship. They always tell on themselves, and if they’re able to pull themselves together long enough to find a girlfriend or wife, they find one who will be an obedient wife who puts her husband and god over her own children.  

This is why we’re seeing the last, desperate gasp of Christian nationalism. This is why they’ve spent the last few decades pushing legislation to privatize public schools, control our bodies, and cram religious indoctrination down our children’s throats. 

These guys push this brand out, and build “inclusive” megachurches to indoctrinate young congregants to embrace abusive relationships with their god and their neighbors. Women and girls are groomed to accept being treated like a second class citizen because their church embraces a “submission doctrine” wherein daughters submit completely to their fathers and wives submit completely to their husband. And if she has boys, once they reach adulthood, she must also submit to her sons; “boy mom” culture comes directly from authoritative patriarchal religion.

For an evangelical woman, promoting and defending her husbands and sons keep her closer to power. They still don’t understand that the leopards most definitely WILL eat their faces. 

Children are taught from birth that they’re sinners, but also that girls are the origin of sin, and that boys just can’t help their own behaviors because everyone is constantly trying to tempt them into sin and eventually create very dysfunctional and abusive families. It’s why they target queer kids. 

If their good Christian kids can’t be stifled into an easily recognizable, socially-constructed, gender stereotype, it disrupts the patriarchy. Their good Christian parents will just force them into submission, and in some cases, abuse and isolate them. These children are often the target of predators too because they know that queer kids may have low self-esteem simply because they don’t fit in with their peers. Many queer youth are preyed upon because their parents act as their first bullies, and kick them out or put them into some conversion therapy camp. 

So much for free will, amirite? 

If they’re not using kitten murderers in their ads, they’re demonizing queer kids and immigrants, and encouraging their followers to fear their neighbors and anyone who doesn’t think like them. 

But the problem is they’re still losing and they know it. 

That’s why I’m not hopeful about Election Day…yet. I’ve been burned a time or two, and my traumatized brain is keeping me from enjoying just about anything these days. I know that the American people don’t want to be ruled by christofascist oligarchs, but I don’t put anything past what this administration will do to keep their power. 

If elections go the way they look like they’re going to go, those who are currently in power are going to be facing some serious consequences. Articles of impeachment have already been drafted for the mango Mousellini, Creep Kegsbreath, and wild game aficionado, Robert Kennedy Jr, and once the 120th Congress is sworn in, all bets are off. 

That is, IF those who have a working spine win their races.  

This regime has blood on its hands and dirty money in their pockets, so they could get in some pretty big trouble. And that’s why I’m not hopeful…yet. 

You better believe that these desperate mothereffers will throw every wet noodle at the wall and hope that something sticks. I don’t want to get all tinfoil hat here, but I saw the Elon Musk movie, and the richest man in the world and his billionaire buddies control an awful lot of our channels of communication. We literally see every day what happens when power, money, and information is consolidated into the hands of the few. 

They will use every tool in their arsenal to steal, cast doubt, and instill fear in the citizens of this country. Thankfully, as someone who has friends everywhere, 

I know how hard people are working to get out the vote. From school board to statewide positions, my friends are telling me what voters are saying at the doors. 

No one is talking about trans kids.

No one is talking about sharia law. 

No one is talking about who has the sexiest ass in GOP politics. 

The voters in Arizona (from all parties, btw) are talking to canvassers and candidates about affordability and wealth disparity. They’re talking about our water supply, data centers, and flock cameras. They’re talking about affordable housing and healthcare. The American people seem to be having a come to reason moment, and if the billionaires and Epstein class can’t somehow stifle the will of the people, I believe that we will win. 

But it ain’t over until January 3rd 2027. Tangerine Palpatine knows that consequences are coming his way, and he knows his followers will do whatever he tells them to do. There was also that Big Bogus Bill that allotted $85 billion to ICE and we’ve been militarizing local police departments for years, soooooo…there is potential for very bad things to happen.

The point is, stay vigilant, Secular FAM. I’ve already heard around the state that TPUSA is posting up at polling places. 

=The current administration has promised to have ICE and DHS agents deployed to “protect the vote”. 

If you see any shenanigans out in the wild, the Secretary of State’s office makes it pretty easy to report any punkass, looksmaxxing douchebros when they try to interfere with our democracy and our rights. If you share it on social media, tag us, and we’ll boost it so folks can be prepared for foolishness.

Something’s happening out there. MAGA rallies have become sparsely attended cult meetings, and more and more people are standing up to the fascists. Americans have reached their breaking point, and even diehard devotees are coming to reason. Courage is contagious, and looking at the numbers coming in everyday, hope creeps in. 

Now get out there and knock on some more doors.
